Eilís Dexter is a mezzo-soprano from Ireland, currently completing her masters at Zürich University of the Arts with Sarah Wegener. In opera, Eilís has performed the role of Ruggiero in Handel's Alcina (Immersive Arts Space Zürich), Flora in Jonathan Dove's The Enchanted Pig (Ahimè Opera Basel) and a lead role in the contemporary opera Drift by Philipp Rhein (ZHdK Opera). Eilís has also performed the role of Dido in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas in Christchurch Cathedral Dublin and various roles in The Fairy Queen with the London Handel Players and the Croatian Baroque Ensemble. Eilís has recently appeared as a soloist in Mendelssohn's Op. 96 in Richterswil, as well as Elgar's The Music Makers with Dublin County Choir and Bach's Christmas Oratorio at Trimontiada Festival in Bulgaria. Other oratorio performances include Vivaldi’s Gloria and Dixit Dominus, Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle, D’Astorga's Stabat Mater, Handel’s Messiah and Saint-Saëns Oratorio de Noël.

Last year Eilís joined Peter Whelan and the Irish Baroque Orchestra for a performance of Handel's Alexander's Feast at the BBC Proms. Eilís has worked with the Irish National Opera Chorus, Opera Collective Ireland, Blackwater Valley Opera Festival and leading Irish ensembles Resurgam and Chamber Choir Ireland.
